Armenia`s planes not to be able to fly to EU for 2.5 years

June 5, Fineko/abc.az. According to the decision of the European Commission, planes belonging to Armenian airlines will not be able to fly in the airspace of the EU member states for at least 2 years and 6 months.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Russian sources that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Civil Aviation Committee should quickly develop a roadmap of necessary measures to be taken by November 2022, and a schedule for its implementation.

The General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has initiated a criminal case against two officials of the Civil Aviation Committee. One of those responsible persons, whose names are not disclosed, acted against the interests of the Committee by abusing their official powers.

It should be noted that on 2 June flights of aircrafts belonging to Armenian air companies from the airspace of EU member states were banned.
