June 9, Fineko/abc.az. As a result of illegal actions of the management of BMS Agro LLC, operating in Agabeyli village of Agjabedi district, damage was caused to Agroleasing, a leasing company of the Ministry of Agriculture.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by the Main Anti-Corruption Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigative & operational measures established that BMS Agro’s founder and director Mulkhazil Balakishiyev, being in preliminary agreement with other persons, received 5,200 heads of small cattle of various breeds after becoming the winner of the tender announced by Agroleasing.

Under the specified agreement, he appropriated the funds entrusted to his company in the amount of EUR 1.109 million.

As Balakishiyev’s actions have signs of Article 179.3.2 (large-scale embezzlement) of the Criminal Code, he was charged under this article, and the court ruled a preventive measure in the form of arrest in respect of him.
