June 10, Fineko/abc.az. We cannot endanger the health of our citizens by accepting tourists.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that the above-said statement was made by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

According to the PM, Georgia planned to resume tourist flights to Israel in the near future, but due to the growth of coronavirus diseases in the country, the launch of flights between the two countries has been postponed:

"Israel should have become the first country from which Georgia waited for tourists after 15 July. Last week, the situation there deteriorated sharply, and Benjamin Netanyahu asked to postpone the resumption of tourist traffic between the two countries. Exactly a week ago, this started happening there... It's just that the epidemiological situation has exploded. Thousands of people are being moved to quarantine zones."

It should be noted that Georgia plans to resume international flights with countries that are considered a green zone since 1 July.
