June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the giving of compensation to the owners of deposits in AGBank and NBC Bank begins.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund that the International Bank of Azerbaijan has been chosen as agent bank for return of deposits. Deposits will be returned in the IBA branches in non-cash form.

In order to avoid accumulation of depositors in the IBA branch network, deposits will be returned in two stages:

- Starting from 16 June 2020 the deposits in the equivalent of up to AZN 30,000 (including AZN 30,000);

- From 15 July 2020 – the deposits in the equivalent of more than AZN 30,000.

To receive compensation, depositors who have applied to the IBA branches must submit a deposit agreement (together with appendices), a savings book, other documents confirming the ownership of the deposit (account statements) and an identity document.

Insured depositors can receive their account statements at the head office of AG Bank located at 102A, Jalila Mammadguluzade Street in Baku, as well as at other city and regional branches of the Bank's branches.
