Azerbaijan reduced wheat imports by 38%

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of wheat imports in Azerbaijan for Jan-May 2020 has been announced.

ABC.AZ reports that for the first 5 months of this year the country imported 341,835 tons of wheat for $74.614 million.

For comparison, the cost of wheat imported to Azerbaijan decreased by 40% against the 2019 same term and its volume by 38%.

In general, for Jan-May 2020 the share of wheat in the total volume of imports made up 1.79%.
