Georgia has faced heavy losses - country is on verge of bankruptcy

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Georgia suffered losses of more than 1.8 bn lari.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian media that the above-said statement was made by Deputy Finance Minister Georgi Kakauridze at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee.

According to the deputy, the largest loss is related to tax revenues - about 1.545 bn lari.

"Due to the pandemic, this year's State Budget was reduced by 800 million lari," the deputy minister said.
