June 17, Fineko/abc.az. A drug for treatment of coronavirus that has paralyzed the entire world has been discovered.

ABC.AZ informs that the news was reported by BBC.

According to the information giant, fairly cheap drug dexamethasone was used in low doses to treat severe COVID-19 patients.

Specialists told BBC that the drug is promising in the fight against coronavirus.

It was noted that this drug has been tested in more than 2,000 patients. The results were compared with the condition of patients who did not pass the test. It was found out that the risk of death of patients connected to a lung ventilation system decreased from 40% to 28%.

And in patients who need oxygen, this figure has decreased from 25% to 20%.
