June 18, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev is unlikely to take part in the military parade marking the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day in Moscow.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to APA that President Aliyev said this in a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The Azerbaijani leader expressed regret that due to the quarantine measures in force in the country, he will hardly be able to take part in the Victory parade in Moscow on 24 June, although his participation in this event was originally planned. The head of state noted that Azerbaijan will be represented at this event by Defence Minister and 75 servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army.

Putin regarded this decision with understanding.
