Number of POS terminals reduced much

June 29, Fineko/abc.az. The number of POS terminals in Azerbaijan has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Central Bank’s statistics that in May 2020 the number of POS terminals in Azerbaijan decreased to 1,641 and for Jan-May to 12,441.

For comparison, for the first 3 months of 2020 the number of POS terminals grew by 3,659 up to 71,127 terminals at the end of March.

In the following months the number of POS terminals decreased. In total, the number of POS terminals decreased by 14,459 ones in April and by 1,641 ones in May. The total decline for April and May is 16,100 terminals.
