June 29, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in Azerbaijan by the end of May 2020 has become known.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Central Bank’s statistics that there were 8.47 million payment cards in the country for this period.

Over the first 5 months of this year the rate of payment cards increased by 1.2 million ones against the 2019 same term. Most of the increase in the number of cards relates to the issue of farm cards and cards for receiving lump-sum financial aid of 190 manats. So, for Jan-May 2020 the number of social cards grew by 915,000 ones up to 3.198 million cards.

So, in April and May the growth in the rate of social cards amounted to 544,000 cards
