Penalties for breaking quarantine rules toughened

June 29, Fineko/abc.az. At today's plenary session of the extraordinary session of Milli Majlis the MPs discussed the draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to news agency qafqazinfo that it is proposed to make amendments to the Code, according to which individuals will be fined from 200 to 400 manats for violating the sanitary and quarantine regime and officials from 3,000 to 4,000 manats.

Article 211 of the Code is given in a new version (violation of the anti-epidemiological, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regime).

Currently, a fine of 100 to 200 manats for individuals and 1,500 to 2,000 manats for officials is envisaged for violations of anti-epidemic, sanitary and hygienic and quarantine regimes.

According to another amendment, taking into account the person who committed the offense, administrative arrest for up to 1 month is provided, and for legal entities a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 manats.

Now, administrative arrest for up to 1 month is applied taking into account the person who committed the offense and a fine of 2,000 up to 5,000 manats for legal entities.

The amendments to the Code were adopted by vote after discussions.
