Oil price is stable after rise the day before, and Brent is at $42 a barrel

July 2, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are changing weakly on Thursday after rising the day before.

By 9:20 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for September rose by $0.03 (0.07%) up to $42.06 per barrel. At the end of trading on 1 July the Brent futures for September rose in price by $0.76 (1.8%) up to $42.03 a barrel.

By 9:20 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for August fell in price by $0.02 (0.05%) to $39.80 a barrel. Following the trading on 1 July the value of WTI contracts for August increased by $0.55 (1.4%) up to $39.82 a barrel.

According to Dow Jones Market Data, oil price fell by 36% in the 1st half of 2020, and prices jumped almost by 92% in the 2nd quarter.
