July 2, Fineko/abc.az. BP is preparing to drill the first exploration well in the Absheron prospective area (SWAP) and is processing seismic surveys conducted in the D230 prospective structure.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by BP's Vice President for External Relations & Strategy in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, Bakhtiar Aslanbeyli.

He noted that BP is committed to its obligations within oil & gas field development project Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, and production at this block is ongoing, and a stable situation on production is observed here.

"The work within Shah Deniz Project 2, a gas condensate field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, is successfully continuing and being completed," the BP vice president added.
