ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that this conclusion was made by scientists from Russia and the People's Republic of China.

According to data, in the course of studies a decrease in the level of lymphocytes in the blood of some people who were treated for the virus was recorded. The level of lymphocytes does not reach the previous norm even 11 weeks after recovery. At that, this damages immune cells. Chronic injury to immune cells most often causes the human immunodeficiency virus. Russian experts said that SARS-coV-2 cannot reproduce in lymphocytes, unlike the immunodeficiency virus.

In this regard, the stagnation in the immune system can be long-term, but reversible.
