July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan has recorded high yield of wheat varieties imported from France.

ABC.AZ reports that the yield of wheat varieties ‘Renan’ and ‘Barok’ was 73 centners per hectare.

The Center for Agricultural Science & Innovations reports that foreign varieties producing high yields and adaptation to severe weather conditions were originally planted on an area of 100 hectares. The test planting of two varieties of soft wheat and one variety of barley gave a successful result. The average yield of barley per hectare reached 53 quintals. Experts noted a high result.

The tested new variety of barley is more useful for beer production.
