Tension at the front still persists - Statement about situation on border


July 17, Fineko/abc.az. The head of the press service of the Ministry of Defence, Col. Vagif Dargakhli, has made a statement about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

ABC.AZ reports that Ministry’s official representative noted that despite the fact that the tension on the Tovuz territory of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since the night of 17 July is still relatively calm compared to the previous days, the tension still remains: “In the area of our state border, in the direction of our positions, the enemy uses machine guns and other small arms. Large-caliber weapons are not used. As in previous days, mortars and other artillery installations are not used. The conditions of the operation are under the full control of our Armed Forces.”
