Oil price drops, and Brent is traded at $42.85 a barrel

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades declined during Monday’s trading amid the news about an increase in the growth of new cases of coronavirus infection in the world.

By 9:25 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for September fell in price by $0.29 (0.67%) to $42.85 per barrel. At the end of trading on 16 July the Brent futures for September fell by $0.23 (0.53%) to $43.14 per barrel.

By 9:25 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of WTI oil futures for August decreased by $0.26 (0.64%) to $40.33 per barrel. At the end of trading on 17 July the WTI contracts for August fell in price by $0.16 (0.39%) to $40.59 per barrel.
