Quantity of greenhouses in Azerbaijan

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Statistical data on the number of greenhouses operating in Azerbaijan has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that as of 1 July of this year 3,233 greenhouses with a total area of 1,400 hectares functioned in the country.

Various types of vegetables are grown in greenhouses. Thus, compared with the same period of 2019 growing of tomatoes in greenhouses for Jan-Jun 2020 increased by 4.2% up to 181,800 and cucumbers by 10.5% up to 10,700 tons.
