Most employees are hired in these spheres

July 23, Fineko/abc.az. The number of employees as of 1 June was 1.68 million, including 930,000 people in the state sector of the economy and 751,700 people in the non-state sector.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that 33,900 people worked in the oil & gas sector and 1.647 million people in the nonoil sector.

24% of employees of enterprises and organizations are engaged in production, including 7.8% in construction, 7.3% in manufacturing, 3.4% in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2% in mining, 1.8% in the production of electricity, gas and steam, 1.7% in water supply, waste treatment and processing.
