July 27, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 July 2020 the number of pensioners in Azerbaijan has been announced.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection that the number of pensioners in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.26 million.

Of them, 736,900 people receive age pensions, 380,900 ones the pension on disability, 142,200 ones in connection with the loss of the breadwinner.

Over the past 6 months of 2020 the monthly pension increased by 27% (up to 300 manats) compared with the same period of 2019, including the average monthly age pension - by 25.24% (330 manats).

From January to June the amount of pensions paid amounted to AZN 2.25 million (by AZN 436,510 (24.09%) more versus 2019.
