July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has conducted a session on the occasion of the blocked deposits in the four closed banks.

A court will rule a decision concerning the blocked deposits in the next week. And we hope for a positive decision.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov at a press conference.

He said that banks sign deposit contracts with the population on terms of insurance of their deposits and safety of their bank savings. But in fact the insured part of the deposit turns out limited: "We believe there is no fault of the population. Bank owners are guilty, and citizens' rights must be restored. Currently, we are having constant contact with the Constitutional Court. Internal processes at banks are underway. More than 1,300 people will have access their deposits in the total amount of AZN 62 million," he emphasized.
