Damage caused in pandemic period under estimate

July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The validity term of the Law on Full Insurance of Protected Deposits has been extended until the end of this year. This law is currently in force.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to news agency Modern that this was announced by Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov.

He stressed that no changes to the law are envisaged: "At the end of the year, depending on the situation, a decision will be made to extend the term of the law."

He noted that the Ministry of Economy is currently assessing the damage caused during the pandemic, but the Ministry refrains from calling figures from an ethical point of view.
