Oil price falls, and Brent is at $44.36 a barrel

August 5, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are decreasing in Wednesday’s trading, despite American Petroleum Institute’s data about last week’s decline in US stocks.

According to API’s report published on 4 August, US’ oil reserves decreased by 8.59 million barrels.

By 9:30 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for October fell in price by $0.07 (0.16%) to $44.36 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 August the price of Brent oil futures for October rose by $0.28 (0.63%) to $44.43 per barrel.

By 9:30 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI crude futures for September fell by $0.13 (0.31%) to $41.57 per barrel. Following the trading on 4 August the WTI oil futures for September grew in price by $0.69 (1.68%) up to $41.70 a barrel.
