Georgia to pay for education of poor students

August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Socially unprotected students in Georgia who have less than 150,000 social scores on the corresponding scale will be paid to study for a semester at the University.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia at a government meeting.

And those poor students who were suspended their student status during the pandemic due to non-payment will be paid for their studies for a year.

George Gakharia noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic, many citizens suffered serious losses, so the authorities decided to support the population in a difficult period.
