Azerbaijan`s GDP has decreased for past half of 2020

August 13, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jul 2020 Azerbaijan’s nominal GDP reached AZN 40.008 million or 2.8% less versus the same term of 2019, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

According to the data, in the non-oil sector value added decreased by 1.6% and in the oil & gas sector by 4.5%.

35.3% of GDP accounted for industry, 11.2% for trade; vehicle repairs, 7.5% for transport and storage, 7.1% for agriculture, forestry and fishing, 6.3% for construction, 2% for information and communication, 1.4% for tourist accommodation and catering, 19% for other areas, and net taxes on products and imports amounted to 10.2% of GDP.
