August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Today is the last day of the Turkish-Azerbaijani joint military exercises. The first stage of military exercises is coming to an end. This is a very significant event that once again demonstrates our unity and brotherhood. Over the course of several days military exercises have been conducted in various cities of our country.

These exercises are of great importance in terms of military cooperation, but at the same time they are very important and useful for strengthening ties between people and fraternity between our nations.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev on 13 August, when receiving a Turkish delegation led by National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar.

The head of state said: "This is a tradition. As you know, more than 10 joint exercises are held annually in both Azerbaijan and Turkey. Therefore, they are a common occurrence. There is no need to look for an emergency here. We also see that these exercises are causing concern in some countries. But there is no reason for that. This is another manifestation of Turkish-Azerbaijani unity and brotherhood."
