Another 16 citizens of Kazakhstan sent home

Due to the threat of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic due to the closure of borders for passengers, another 16 citizens of Kazakhstan who remained in Azerbaijan and 11 citizens of Azerbaijan who have the right to reside in this country were sent to Kazakhstan, ABC.AZ was informed at Baku International Sea Trade Port.

Citizens going to ferry Mercury 1 of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company were tested for the virus in the Baku port, and the test result was negative for all passengers.

Since 13 May 2020 the new rules for crossing the border during the quarantine period have come into force in Kazakhstan, for this reason, the port of Kuryk has resumed receiving citizens of the country and foreign citizens who have a residence permit in the country.

Over the past 4 months 194 citizens of Kazakhstan and 111 foreign citizens were sent from the Baku port.
