Classes at schools in the neighboring country to begin on 15 September

August 14, Fineko/abc.az. On 15 September a new school year will start in Georgia in 2,840 secondary schools across the country.

In this regard, the Ministry of Education of Georgia has prepared important recommendations in relation to schools. According to the recommendations, a social distance of 1 m should be observed among students. In addition to students, all persons entering the school building – teachers, educators, and technical staff-must wear a medical mask. Also important is thermal screening and hand disinfection at the entrance to the school building.

During alternating shifts in two-shift schools, there will be a half-hour break, and classrooms and bathrooms will be disinfected. Self-isolation rooms will be created for students with fever and other symptoms.

School leaders will be given the opportunity to independently determine the hours of classes based on the number of students. The class time should not be less than 30 minutes.

According to the rules established by the Ministry, classes in primary classes I, II, III and IV must be held in school.

In addition, depending on the capabilities of the school and the epidemiological situation, classes for grades V-VI can be held remotely 1 day a week, for grades VII-XI - 2 days, and for grades XII - a maximum of 3 days.

However, prior agreement must be reached with the Ministry of education at this time.
