August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Investments in the oil & gas sector for Jan-July 2020 totaled AZN 3.424 bn (rise of 22.9% versus Jan-Jul 2019) ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.

Over Jan-Jul the oil & gas sector produced output for AZN 12.542 bn. Production in this sector of the industry decreased by 4.3% against the same months of the previous year. In the oil and gas sector, value added decreased by 4.5%.

61% of industrial output was produced in the mining sector. In July, the producer price index for industrial products compared with the previous month was 106.5%, including in the mining industry – 108%.

As of 1 July 34,100 people worked in the oil and gas sector of the economy. For Jan-Jun the nominal salary in the oil and gas sector was 3,571 manats.
