EU leaders to hold an emergency conference in connection with Belarus

August 17, Fineko/abc.az. The heads of state and government of the EU member states will hold a video conference on the situation in Belarus.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to news agency Report that this was stated by Charles Michel, the president of the Council of the European Union, on his Twitter page.

“I will call a meeting of EU Council members this Wednesday at 12:00 to discuss the situation in Belarus. The Belarusian people have the right to decide their future and freely choose their leader. Violence against protesters is unacceptable and cannot be considered acceptable.”
