Beef consumption has increased – Report for last 5 years

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. The population of Azerbaijan has increased its consumption of poultry meat.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Statistics Committee that over the past 5 years the consumption of poultry meat per capita has increased by 4.3 kg up to 15 kg per year in 2019.

During this period, per capita beef consumption grew by 1.8 kg up to 16.1 kg a year.

For comparison, in 2014 the difference in annual consumption of beef and poultry per capita was 4.1 kg and in 2019 - 1.1 kg.

At the same time, over the past 5 years the consumption of all types of meat and meat products per capita increased by 7.4 kg up to 40.8 kg a year in 2019.
