Checks start on four law-breaker companies

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. Four large companies operating in Russia are accused of violating a range of laws.

ABC.AZ reports that among them are Coca-Cola, Danone, Procter&Gamble, and Heineken. Thus, the mentioned four companies are accused of regular violation of environmental standards, non-payment of environmental duties and failure to submit reports on their products.

The results of the audit have already been sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office. Russian Federal Service’s report on the control of natural resources (Rosprirodnadzor) says that the investigation was initiated by Nikolai Valuyev, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology & Environmental Protection. Failure by foreign companies to comply with their obligations on the waste disposal can lead to an environmental disaster.
