PM: Second wave of coronavirus has started in Georgia

15:58 - 10.09.2020

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. The second wave of COVID-19 coronavirus infection has started in Georgia.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by Prime Minister George Gakharia at a governmental meeting.

"Today's 57 and yesterday's 44 cases of coronavirus infection directly indicate that the epidemiological situation in the country is gradually changing. We predicted a second wave of virus spread, and this process is actually beginning. The chief thing is that there is no reason to panic, because we control the situation fully. For example, in the first days when the epidemic started, our health system conducted 159 tests daily, and today we can conduct 6,000-7,000 tests. In the future, these numbers may grow up to 10,000 people," Gakharia said.
