September 10, Fineko/abc.az. To date, up to AZN 513 million have been paid to 21,506 depositors on four banks closed by the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the ADIF that from 16 June to 9 September 2020 the International Bank of Azerbaijan paid more than AZN 179.07 million in compensation to depositors of AGBank and NBC Bank which are in the process of liquidation.

The amount of payments to 3,768 depositors on AGBank was AZN 69.87 million and to 3,745 depositors on NBC Bank – AZN 109.19 million.

From 1 June to 9 September more than AZN 333.2 million of compensation was paid to depositors of Amrah Bank and Ata Bank that are also in the process of liquidation. During the reporting period the amount of payments to 5,448 depositors on Amrah Bank amounted to AZN 129.48 million and to 8,865 depositors on Ata Bank – AZN 203.73 million.

Provision of compensations to depositors by ADIF on the last closed banks is already approaching to the end. The full payment process will be finished as soon as possible in accord with the procedure established by law.
