Oil falls in price, and Brent is at $41.32 a barrel

September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are decreasing in Tuesday’s trading after a sharp decline the day before over concerns on the occasion of resumption of oil production in the east of Libya.

By 9:17 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for November fell in price by $0.12 (0.29%) to $41.32 per barrel. At the end of trading on 21 September the price of Brent crude oil slumped by $1.71 (3.96%) to $41.44 per barrel.

By 9:20 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for October declined by $0.09 (0.23%) to $39.22 per barrel. At the end of trading on 21 September the WTI crude oil dropped in price by $1.80 (4.38%) to $39.31 per barrel.

Libya’s National Oil Corp. reported the resumption of production in the east of the country after the commander of the Libyan national army, Khalif Haftar, announced the lifting of an eight-month blockade of oil fields and ports as a result of reaching an agreement with the government in Tripoli, Dow Jones informs.
