Oil prices rise, Brent is $42.17 a barrel

September 25, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are growing in Friday’s trading, but are likely to end the week in the red over fears of lower demand as some countries return the restrictive measures.

By 9:12 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for November increased by $0.23 (0.55%) up to $42.17 per barrel. At the end of trading on 24 September, the price of Brent oil futures for November grew by $0.17 (0.41%) up to $41.94 per barrel.

By 9:12 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI crude futures for November grew by $0.23 (0.57%) up to $40.54 per barrel. At the end of trading on 24 September the November’s WTI futures rose by $0.38 (0.95%) up to $40.31 per barrel.

This week, Brent crude fell by 2.1% and WTI by 1.7%.
