September 30, Fineko/abc.az. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has given loans in the total amount of about $100 bn to 81 countries to deal with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by IMF director general Kristina Georgieva.
According to the IMF representative, the world is currently experiencing the worst shock since the World War II, but the situation is considered more satisfactory compared with May.
Georgieva noted that the indicators of China and developed economies in the 2nd quarter of the year are better than expected and there are signs of recovery in the global economy and world trade.
