Oil keeps on falling in price, and Brent already below $40 a barrel

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Benchmark oil prices continued to decline on Friday after falling the day before and ended in the red for the second week in a row.

By 9:30 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for December fell by $0.96 (2.35%) to $39.97 per barrel. At the end of trading on 1 October the price of Brent crude futures for December collapsed by $1.37 (3.24%) to $40.93 per barrel.

By 9:30 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for November fell in price by $0.96 (2.48%) to $37.76 per barrel. At the end of trading on 1 October the November WTI futures fell in price by $1.50 (3.73%) to $38.72 per barrel.
