Foreign Affairs Ministry: Azerbaijan is not responsible for safety of foreign journalists in occupied areas

October 5, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, Armenia and Armenian Diaspora organizations bear international legal responsibility for carrying out terrorist activities against Azerbaijan and its civilian population.

ABC.AZ reports that the relkevant statement was made at today's briefing by Leyla Abdullayeva, spokesperson of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She noted that states that encourage Armenia's activities on their territory against the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, or rather, states that create conditions for the activities of Armenian terrorists, also bear responsibility. Those states are obligated, in accordance with international conventions, to suppress the activities of such persons. The Azerbaijani side is not responsible for the safety of foreign journalists who visit the occupied territories without the consent of Azerbaijan.
