ECB president`s statement led to drop in euro rate

October 7, Fineko/abc.az. After the speech of European Central Bank’s president the euro again began to fall in price on international currency exchanges.

ABC.AZ reports that ECB president Christine Lagarde stated that risks in the economy are going to increase with the resumption of some bans related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Her statement led to a decrease in EUR/USD exchange rate from $1.18 to $1.1725.

Analysts say that, most likely, the euro will continue falling to $1.1690.
