Net profit of Azerbaijan’s banking sector for 2017 reached almost AZN 884 million

February 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Financial Market Supervision Chamber (FIMSA) reports that the net profit of the domestic banking sector by the end of 2017 amounted to AZN 883.6 million.

According to FIMSA, local banks’ interest income reached AZN 1.775 bn, including AZN 1.28 bn on the given loans. The interest-bearing expenditures amounted to AZN 824.9 million that ensured AZN 950.3 million of net interest income.

Banks’ non-interest income amounted AZN 938.5 million and non-interest expenditures AZN 980.6 million for the same term.

Pre-tax profit of the banking sector in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 938.8 million and the profit tax payment AZN 55.2 million.
