October 7, Fineko/abc.az. The pandemic has negatively affected education and public health sectors in the region, according to the World Bank’s report on the economic situation in the region of Europe and Central Asia.

ABC.AZ informs that the report also says that the virus has already led to the death of thousands of people, and some of the survivors will long suffer from the harm caused to their health.

"School closures can result in the loss of one-third of the school year to a full year as a result of training. This may increase inequality, disproportionately affecting pupils from more vulnerable families," the WB said.
