October 8, Fineko/abc.az. French woman Odile Renaud-Basso has been elected on Thursday as the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development for a 4-year term.
ABC.AZ reports that according to EBRD’s message posted on Twitter, this decision was made at a meeting of the Bank's Board of Governors, head at the EBRD’s headquarters in London.
In this position Ms. Renaud-Basso replaced British Suma Chakrabarti, who was the EBRD president for two consecutive terms since 2012.
For the past 4 years, Ms. Renaud-Basso, 55, has served as the Director General of the Treasury of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance & Reconstruction.
