Buses to be organized for schoolchildren on Saturdays

October 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Education is launching a new project to support full-time education in schools, given that public transport does not work on weekends.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry that within the special quarantine regime a number of state schools operate a six-day school week in order to effectively regulate the density of students in Absheron district, Baku and Sumgait.

Starting from 10 October the project will provide public transport on Saturdays in selected directions.

For the first time, buses via special routes to be organized in a pilot order will be used only by those teachers, pupils and parents who received relevant certificates in schools. Parents and teachers can get a certificate from 9 October by contacting the relevant educational institutions.
