6 February, Fineko/abc.az. Opening of Azerbaijan's Trade Representative Office was held in Beijing yesterday with participation of Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev.

The Azerbaijani minister stated at the relevant ceremony that the opening of Azerbaijan's trade mission in China is an important event in terms of the development of trade & economic relationships between the two countries.

"The opening of the trade representative office will promote to brand Made in Azerbaijan, raising Chinese investments in the economy of Azerbaijan and protection of interests of Azerbaijani companies," Mustafayev emphasized.

The minister underlined that China ranks 4th among the main foreign trade partners of Azerbaijan, including the 3rd place in import and the 8th in export.

By the end of 2017 Azerbaijan-China trade turnover amounted to $1.2 bn that makes up by 43% more than in 2016.
