President Ilham Aliyev: We will move forward

11:42 - 16.10.2020

October 16, Fineko/abc.az. We’ll move forward. In addition, they must respect the ceasefire. We gave strict orders to all our military units to observe the ceasefire and stop. It wasn't that easy, though. We stopped at 12 o'clock and they didn't.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the relevant statement in an interview with Turkish channel NTV-Turkey. Then he added: “We went on the defensive, liberated several villages. When the peace talks begin, the first schedule should be provided for when and from what land Armenia should leave. Otherwise, we will continue. The basic principles stated that at the first stage, 5 districts were to be returned to us. Most of the 2 out of 5 districts that should be returned to us are already with us.

If this continues, we will take back other districts as well. We implement fundamental principles on the battlefield. The Minsk Group failed to achieve this. Today, the Azerbaijani army has struck the enemy in all directions. We are moving forward, each time liberating new lands. Armenia's technical supply has weakened. The statements that are expected soon will shock them even more. If the Armenian people want to know the real situation, they should listen to us."
