Energy Minister: Jobs to be created due to these projects


October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Environmental and social impact assessment studies are underway on the territory where the solar power plant will be constructed, the Azerbaijani energy minister announced.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Parviz Shahbazov, the investors plan to build three new substations to connect those power plants to the grid.

The minister added that the stations are expected to generate about 1.4 bn kWh of electricity a year and enable to save more than 300 million cu m of natural gas and reduce carbon emissions by about 600,000 tons. New jobs will also be created due to these power plant projects.
