13:05 - 22.10.2020

October 22, Fineko/abc.az. TƏBIB department Yagut Garayeva informed in an interview for TV channel AzTV about the rapid spread of the coronavirus and what is expected in the future.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Garayeva, since the end of January the Covid-19 Task Force has prepared special plans, but much has changed due to the current situation with the coronavirus: “We needed a sufficient number of beds. In connection with the recent events, we are using part of our bed fund in a certain direction. We’re interested in our medical staff being strong and ready to help our servicemen. The disease doesn't choose, and our healthcare workers can also get infected with the virus. In many of our regional hospitals, the number of infected medical workers is growing. Our main problem is related to serious patients, elderly people, and people with chronic diseases. Because they don't need regular inpatient beds, but intensive care beds. This means that the patient is treated for at least 2 weeks. This is a serious problem."
