Azerbaijan’s president: Official opening of TAP is a matter of a few weeks

October 22, all, Fineko/abc.az. Work within the TAP project is on schedule and has already been completed. The official opening of TAP may be a matter of weeks, not months. Everything is ready on the gas pipeline. This historic pipeline from Baku to Europe has already been completed.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in an interview with Japanese newspaper Nikkei on 21 October.

The president noted that over all these years, no events have occurred on the territory of Azerbaijan, especially on oil and gas pipelines, since 2006, when Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan was commissioned.
