October 26, Fineko/abc.az. Repair and restoration work is underway on the 14–km section of the new Baku-Guba highway - the state border with the Russian Federation – from the 16th km (VAZ Circle) to the 30th km (Sumgait),.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Public Relations Department of the State Motor Road Agency of Azerbaijan that drilling operations are ongoing currently on a 3-km territory in the direction from the VAZ Circle to Jeyranbatan, a new road surface and road foundation are being built.

The length of the territory under reconstruction is currently 9 km.

In addition, the reinforced concrete supports of the curved line installed on the 14-km section of the highway, where repair and restoration work is being carried out, will be dismantled and replaced with concrete partitions. During the ongoing work, the movement of vehicles in the direction of the VAZ Circle from Sumgait is partially restricted. Restrictive measures began on 29 September.
